Manic Street Preachers, Newcastle City Hall, 07 Oct 96
Found some old pictures on the loft...
Quite a show, with Nicky Wire taking a dislike to the security who wouldn't let the fans too close.
Headed to London for the Brixton show at the end of the tour, everything must go remains a classic...

The Mission, Newcastle City Hall, 12 Mar 90
Promoting the "carved in sand" album, I recall the band encouraging attendees to record the shows on cassette - my mate Dougie took a huge cassette recorder with him but gave up recording by the end of the first song!
The Mission, Newcastle City Hall, 04 Mar 88
Hot on the heels of seeing the alarm, we were soon back for more... This time a classic early gig from The Mission. Wayne Hussey climbed up the rigging and onto the balcony...

The first concert that my cousin and I attended without a parent chaperone...
Finished the show with "my generation"

Motorhead, Newcastle City Hall, 03 Nov 11
It was a full house for Motorhead, with a crowd ranging from pensioners to children - quite bizzare! Lemmy is nothing short of a legend... what a bass player!!!
Anti-Nowhere League, Newcastle City Hall, 03 Nov 11
2nd on the bill at the Motorhead gig were Anti-nowhere League! Had a couple of their tracks on an old complilation tape many moons back - their cover of "Streets of London" and the punk classic - So What... some of which I caught on video... (radio friendly lyrics?)
UK Subs, Newcastle City Hall, 03 Nov 11
Re-living the glory days... its' been 19 years since I saw them last (supporting Stiff Little Fingers)... UK Subs are a great act, and a fine start to the triple bill Motorhead show at Newcastles' City Hall. A prompt start saw many arriving during their set...
I was up on the balcony for this show, a good test for the camera in poor light.

Adam & The Ants, Newcastle City Hall, 08 Jan 82
I was extremely fortunate to have attended my first concert as a nine year old, witnessing an amazing performance by the legendary Adam Ant with my Dad and Cousin Rob. We had stall seats very close to the front, stage left in front of Marco!
Adam & the Ants were a massive phenomenon in the early eighties and the tour was extremely theatrical. I've not seen a show like it since...
As a nine year old I didn't make a mentalnot of the setlist, but thankfully I found the show format on 'tinternet...
